Doug Sawers – Managing Director
Doug Sawers joined Ceridian in March 2005 from lastminute.com, where he was managing director of group operations. Doug is responsible for growing the Ceridian HR service provision in the UK and building Ceridian's international presence in the HR business process outsourcing marketplace.

Since joining Ceridian he has overseen radical overhauls of management structure, leadership development, market proposition, operational structure and central functions. The company improved its sales orders by over 20 per cent in 2006 and posted a significant improvement in its profitability.

With over ten years' experience of running companies in the services sector, he is a proven customer services leader and has a track record in growing businesses through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions.

Before the company’s sale to lastminute.com, Doug held a number of positions at Holiday Autos International, latterly as deputy chief executive. Prior to joining Holiday Autos, Doug Sawers was managing director of Budget UK and has also held senior management positions in finance, fleet and operations at Europcar UK, British Gas and Hertz UK.

Aged 45, Doug Sawers holds a BAcc degree in Accountancy from Glasgow University and is a (Scottish) Chartered Accountant.
