Early Engineers wins Best New Toy Award at Toy Fair 2010
1 February 2010

Early Engineers from Learning Curve, the new, easy, creative train play concept specifically designed for aspiring young engineers aged 18 months and over, has won a Best New Toy Award in the vehicles category at this year’s Toy Fair.

Katy de Looze, brand manager – preschool/youth, at Learning Curve said: “It’s a great start for the brand new product range which made its debut at Toy Fair and goes on sale in February. From now on it’s full steam ahead and we have high hopes for this new brand, which will appeal to budding young engineers. Its frustration-free features will encourage more young ones into train play and ensure they stay longer with this play activity. Early Engineers is fully compatible with Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway and is a natural first stage on the train play learning curve.”

Early Engineers features the well-loved Thomas & Friends™ and is both satisfyingly easy to set up and frustration-free. The chunky engine designs ensure they are easily controlled by little hands and their large wheels stay on track. Better still, the Early Engineers sets are all interchangeable and compatible with Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway.

The new Early Engineers creative train play range includes the Roundabout Station Set, the Rock and Roll Quarry Set and the Busy Day on Sodor Roundhouse Set plus seven different engines. The simple destinations plug into the special Tracktile, locking into matching blue circles, and are interchangeable. Meanwhile, the Tracktiles keep the layouts together and secure.
