Green theme for 15th ICFM Annual Members’ Conference
7 February 2008
The theme of the 15th Annual Members’ Conference of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM), to be held at The Honda Institute at Colnbrook near London Heathrow on March 11, is ‘Drive Less – Achieve More.’ Confirmed speakers for the event include Don Potts, environmental advisor to Volvo, Tim Anderson, fleet advice manager at The Energy Savings Trust and Mark Cowling, director of CAP. Alec Stewart OBE, England’s most-capped cricketer ever, is the guest after-lunch speaker. A keynote speaker will be announced in due course.
The green theme is backed by a Honda UK initiative whereby delegates attending the Fleet News Awards the evening before can be transported to and from London by coach.
ICFM chairman, Roddy Graham observed: “The carbon dioxide reducing solution for delegates planning to attend both events will result in a reduction in CO2 emissions in excess of 1.5 tonnes. This is an eminently sensible green initiative proposed by our first time conference sponsor, Honda UK.”
“The ICFM Annual Members’ Conference provides attendees with the opportunity to meet, debate and discuss the many topics relevant to fleet management with fellow members and guests. As always, the event is guaranteed to be a lively and informative affair and is a ‘must attend’ event. Furthermore, ICFM members have the opportunity to bring along a personal guest to introduce them to all the benefits of ICFM membership.”
ICFM members who wish to secure place(s) at the Conference can visit the website at www.icfm.com to confirm their booking online or send an e-mail to conference@icfm.com confirming their name and membership number and, if applicable, their guest’s name and e-mail address. Full details of the event will follow registration.
