Ian Botham's
Valleys Walk 2003 raises £430,000
7 January 2004
Ian Botham’s Valleys Walk 2003, supported by the Leasedrive Group, raised £430,000
for the Noah’s Ark Appeal to equip the first Children’s Hospital for Wales. The
group provided four cars and three vans for the nine-day walk last October.
Commercial director,
Roddy Graham said: “Once more Beefy has walked tirelessly in
pursuit of good causes. His
latest achievement will go a long way towards raising the £1.5m
needed for state-of-the-art equipment. To
have been a part of his latest walk was again an honour and a
privilege.”
The Valleys Walk
2003, through the valleys of south east Wales, covered a total
distance of 210 miles. Roddy
Graham joined Ian for the Grand Finale from Cwmbran to Newport
Rugby Club.
