Leasedrive wins ‘Leasing/Rental Company of the Year’ Award
at 2006 GreenFleet Awards
17 October 2006
The Leasedrive Group, the largest independent privately-owned
vehicle management group in the UK, has won the ‘Leasing/Rental
Company of the Year’ Award at the 2006 GreenFleet Awards.
The award is presented to the company judged to have made the most
significant contribution to reducing the environmental impact of
transport through: green fleet management and procurement, consultative
practice, project management, partnerships, product design/technical
innovation, training initiatives and information campaigns.
Leasedrive commercial director, Roddy Graham said: “Coming on
the heels of winning the ‘Best Contract Hire/Fleet Management Company’ Award
at this year’s Fleet News Awards this is important recognition
for all our fleet management initiatives. The latest of these,
Carbon:Manager, which allows company car drivers to offset their
CO2 emissions to become CarbonNeutral drivers, was singled out
in the awards citation.
“Fully integrated within Drive:Manager, our online total vehicle
management system, Carbon:Manager allows our clients to measure
and reduce to ‘net zero’ the amount of CO2 emissions associated
with their fleet and pick from three project types – renewable
energy, energy efficiency and forestry projects – organised by
our partner, The CarbonNeutral Company.”
The panel of judges for the awards included experts from the
Institute of Car Fleet Management and GreenFleet magazine.
