Leasedrive Velo wins EST Fleet Hero Award

Leasedrive Velo, one of the UK’s largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups in the UK, has won the ‘Innovation in Services and Systems’ Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero 2009 Award for its fully-automated secure new online business and private mileage capture and reporting solution, Mileage:Manager, launched in May.

Mileage:Manager allows fleet managers to save money, reduce administration and effectively audit the mileage capture process while for drivers it is quicker, more efficient and easier to use.

Operating as a standalone mileage capture product or as part of the group’s multi-award winning totally-integrated online fleet management system, Drive:Manager, it seamlessly integrates with a customer’s payroll and expense management system.

The system calculates the charges due for any private mileage based on the actual cost of fuel on the individual driver’s card, or based on whatever allowance a customer wants to use. It delivers accurate driver charging based on the agreed individual cost per mile and even highlights the effects of vehicle choice, fuel type and driving style to company and driver.

Mileage:Manager then interfaces with the customer’s payroll and expense system and the transaction is complete. It also supports cash refuelling, with drivers reimbursed for any cash expense through payroll. Mileage:Manager can also extract this information to produce accurate P11D benefits and P46 car form returns.

Mileage:Manager is also integrated with the group’s carbon-offsetting solution, Carbon:Manager. The accurate business and private mileage records delivered cover pre-agreed time periods and are linked to the volume of carbon produced, extrapolated from individual vehicle CO2 data, to allow the true total carbon output produced to be offset. Monthly driver impact statements are generated for individual drivers demonstrating the impact driving their vehicle has had on the environment. Similar company-wide statements can be produced to allow fine-tuning of fleet policy.

Mileage:Manager is now successfully used by a number of the group’s blue chip customers.
