Leasedrive Velo makes three new appointments in drive for growth

In a major sales drive, Leasedrive Velo Group, one of the largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups in the UK, has made three new appointments – Kate Adams and Andrew White as business development managers within its rental management and vehicle management divisions respectively; and Liz Davenport as a bid and tender executive in support of both divisions.

Commercial director, Roddy Graham said: “We have major ambitions for organic growth and these three new appointments will assist us in our aims of capitalising on the recent rise in new account wins. All these appointments will support our ambitious sales drive.”

Kate Adams, rental management division business development manager, will be specifically targeting the public sector following the award on 22 March of a second four-year framework agreement from Buying Solutions, the national procurement partner for UK public services, covering the provision of pan-government vehicle hire services, ranging from cars to commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Already, the division has won £1.3m-worth of rental contracts so far. Kate joined the Leasedrive Velo Group from Daimler Fleet Management where she was sales manager within the rental division. Previously, she worked for Avis as a corporate account manager. Kate holds a BA Hons. Degree in Economics.

Andrew White, vehicle management division business development manager, is the latest recruit to join the group. He previously worked for Lombard as corporate business development manager and has a strong business development track record with over 20 years experience of the fleet industry, including vehicle rental, working for Provecta, Whitechapel and Masterlease. Andrew holds a BA Hons. Degree in History.

Liz Davenport, bid and tender executive, is responsible for working alongside the existing rental and vehicle management sales teams in completing accurate and detailed tenders for prospective new customers. An internal promotion from the client services team, Liz beat outside candidates to the new role. She previously worked for Enterprise and holds a BA Hons. Degree in Business Management.

A recently established Business Information Team headed by Dawn Devin, is supporting the drive for growth.
