Triple crown for Leasedrive’s Rental:Manager in BusinessCar Techies Awards
New car sharing tool reduces carbon footprint

For the third successive year, the Leasedrive Group, the UK’s largest independent privately-owned vehicle management group, has won the Best Daily Rental System category in the BusinessCar Techies 2011 Awards for its Rental:Manager award-winning online vehicle rental booking system.

Roddy Graham, commercial director, at Leasedrive said: “We are delighted that Rental:Manager has secured a triple crown in the BusinessCar Techies 2011 Awards as Best Daily Rental System, an amazing achievement. Our rental bookings this year have gone through the roof and the ease of booking through Rental:Manager is a major contributory factor along with other advanced features.

“This award is one for our IT people to savour. Rental:Manager was developed entirely in-house by our web development and database experts in response to a growing requirement from clients for a faster vehicle booking process and for effective online management reporting.”

New for 2011 in Rental:Manager is a unique car sharing feature. As all vehicle bookings for every client are stored in Rental:Manager, if a member of staff at a client organisation books a vehicle that has matching criteria (i.e. a similar delivery and collection date and address to that of an existing booking on the system), Rental:Manager automatically informs both drivers about the matching reservations. The two members of staff are then advised to contact each other to cancel one of the bookings and share the hire car for their intended journey. This new functionality works particularly well for clients with staff that regularly travel to and from multiple locations throughout the UK.
