Chris Salmon aims to score big wins as Leasedrive’s new UK sales manager

Fleet industry professional and former professional footballer, Chris Salmon has joined the Leasedrive Group, the UK’s largest independent privately-owned vehicle management group, as UK sales manager.

Paul Fleming, sales and marketing director, at Leasedrive said: “Chris is a welcome addition to the sales team as we seek to further develop our organic growth. He has over eight years’ fleet sector experience in sales administration, customer service, account management and latterly as head of sales. A highly motivated sales individual, Chris is excited about joining us following the successful integration of the Masterlease UK contract hire business and helping us achieve our ambitious new sales targets. His passion for excellence in this business will strike a chord with our blue chip customers.”

Outside the fleet sector, Chris’ sales experience was in B2B sales with BT Cellnet and, before that, consumer sales with Southern Electric.

After leaving school, Chris joined ‘The Hatters’ Luton Town FC on a youth training scheme but unfortunately due to medical restrictions could not sign a full-time professional contract. Undeterred, Chris trained hard and played for a number of semi-professional clubs before retiring and focusing his efforts on coaching near his home in Portsmouth.
